Syracuse, N.Y. — A downtown Syracuse restaurant that’s been open for just five months has been named among the best restaurants in the world for wine.

Noble Cellar is among those honored in Wine Spectator’s 2024 Restaurant Awards, which annually ranks the world’s best restaurants for wine.

The new restaurant in Syracuse’s Columbus Circle joins five other Central New York restaurants that have been on the list for a few years.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team,” said Sarah Pelligrini, who opened Noble Cellar with Robert Zaccaria in early February.

Said Zaccaria: “Our vision is for Noble Cellar to be a premier dining destination, a vibrant space where flavors, service and aesthetics seamlessly converge to create a dining adventure that transcends the ordinary. Our wine program is central to that vision.”

The magazine’s awards are the world’s only program focused exclusively on restaurant wine service. They are assigned on three levels: the Award of Excellence (2,150 winners), the Best of Award of Excellence (1,531 winners) and the Grand Award (96 winners).
